standard ute tray dimensions Page 119

There is no single standard, but in Australia most alloy trays follow familiar ballparks. Expect single cab ~ 2400 x 1800 mm, extra or space cab ~ 2100 x 1800 mm, and dual cab ~ 1800 x 1800 mm. Side depth is typically 250–300 mm, and overall width usually sits around 1,800 mm depending on headboard and tie-down rails. Trays differ from tubs (which have wheel arches), so internal space on a tray is squarer and easier for pallets. Measure the vehicle mounting points and overhang limits before ordering, then choose the tray size that keeps payload, turning circle, and departure angle happy. Consult official documentation for exact figures.
