subaru outback review 2023 Page 8

The 2023 Subaru Outback is the Aussie road-trip all-rounder: comfy ride, proper AWD, and enough cladding to make a fashion blogger cry. The new turbo XT gives it the shove it always deserved, while the standard car remains a relaxed cruiser that sips gently and shrugs off corrugations. The cabin’s big portrait screen and EyeSight safety tech are clever, though the CVT can drone if you get enthusiastic. Space is generous, visibility is grand, and it’ll happily lug kids, dogs and half a Bunnings aisle. If you want plush leather and gadgets without German servicing bills, it’s a sweet spot; just don’t expect hot-hatch fizz. In short: practical, planted, and quietly brilliant at being a wagon in an SUV world.
