subaru service costs australia Page 44

In Australia, Subaru service costs won’t bankrupt you, but they’re not exactly pocket change either.

For new cars under Subaru’s capped‑price servicing, expect annual visits (about 12,500–15,000 km) at roughly AUD $350–$550 for minor work and AUD $700–$1,100 for the bigger intervals; pre‑paid plans usually land around AUD $1,200–$1,800 for 3 years or AUD $2,200–$3,200 for 5, depending on model.

For used/out‑of‑warranty Subarus at a good independent, budget AUD $250–$400 for a minor and AUD $550–$1,000 for a major, with extras like CVT fluid or spark plugs adding AUD $200–$800.

If you’ve got an older belt‑driven engine, a timing‑belt kit can add AUD $800–$1,500 on its own.

As ever, get a VIN‑specific quote and a clear itemised list—then spend whatever you saved on a proper flat white.
