Supercheap Auto is the place you pop in for wiper blades and somehow emerge with half a garage’s worth of gear—mostly because the prices and frequent specials are hard to ignore. Shoppers like the massive range (oils, filters, cleaning kit, DIY tools), and the convenience of big, well-stocked stores and straightforward online browsing. The trade-off is that house-brand tools and accessories can be fine for weekenders but less ideal for heavy-handed, pro-level punishment. Staff knowledge and stock depth vary by store—much like Melbourne weather—so a bit of homework goes a long way. For DIYers on a budget, it’s a solid bet; for premium kit, look to the big-name brands on the shelf and bring a thicker wallet.
