Looking for the car museum in Tassie? You’ll want the National Automobile Museum of Tasmania in Launceston, packed with classic and exotic cars plus motorcycles on rotating display.

Think of it as Tasmania’s garage—only everything’s polished, labelled, and won’t leak on your shoes.

If you’re near Hobart, the Tasmanian Transport Museum in Glenorchy leans trains, trams and buses, but it still scratches the mechanical itch.

Check current exhibits and opening times before you roll up, then prepare to lose an hour (or three) pointing at badges and saying “I had one of those.”
