tesla model 3 engine

Asking about a Tesla Model 3 “engine” is like asking where the toaster keeps its carburettor—it hasn’t got one.

The Model 3 uses electric motor(s) (single rear motor in RWD, two motors in AWD) fed by a lithium‑ion battery pack under the floor.

Drive goes through a single‑speed reduction gearbox, so there’s no gear-hunting, just instant shove and quiet smugness.

Where an engine would be, you get a handy front boot, plus regenerative braking to sip electrons back.

Key specs: no internal-combustion engine, electric drivetrain, single‑speed transmission, RWD or AWD, battery underbody.

Consult official documentation for exact figures.
