Ride quality ranges from comfy to a bit terse depending on wheels and tyres, and build quality has improved, if not always flawless. Autopilot is driver assistance, not witchcraft; hands on the wheel, brain engaged. If you want silent speed, cheap fuel and smugness at the servo, it’s hard to beat; if you crave buttons, burbles and brand tradition, look elsewhere.
