If you’re after the tiniest tin-top wonders that actually fit on Aussie roads without eating your lunch at every roundabout, think micro or city cars. These pocket rockets are perfect for squeezing into those tight spots and sipping fuel like it’s going out of fashion. Models like the Smart Fortwo or the Fiat 500 come to mind, boasting lengths under 3.5 meters and fuel consumption often below 5L/100km.

New prices often start around $15,000 AUD and can stretch upwards depending on bells and whistles, while used prices on Tradingpost or CarShowroom can be a steal if you’re patient. Just remember, tiny doesn’t always mean practical—space and power take a hit, so choose wisely.
