Ah, the Mini—small in stature but big in personality. The top little Mini models often include the Classic Mini Cooper, known for its iconic retro charm and zippy 1.3L engine; the Mini Cooper S, boasting a turbocharged punch with a 2.0L engine; and the John Cooper Works (JCW) version, which cranks performance into the stratosphere with around 228 hp. Used prices for these gems range from about $10,000 for older classics to $40,000+ for newer sportier versions, while brand new Minis can set you back anywhere from $30,000 to $60,000 AUD. For those hunting these pocket rockets, CarShowroom and Tradingpost are your best mates. Always check the fine print and official specs; size might be little, but the options sure aren’t.
