toyota apps in car Page 12

Wondering what Toyota apps you actually get in the car? In Australia, most late‑model Toyotas run Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, so your best “apps” are really your phone’s—maps, music, messages, the lot. Older models used Toyota Link for basics like fuel prices and weather, while newer ones pair with the myToyota Connect app to add Connected Services such as vehicle status, lock/unlock and SOS assistance (availability varies by model and year). Expect data to come via your phone’s connection, and updates to arrive over USB or dealer software flashes rather than app‑store magic. If your car is pre‑2019, some head units can be retrofitted for CarPlay/AA—worth asking a dealer before you start shopping for aftermarket bits. As always, features differ by trim and build date, so check your owner’s manual or the spec sheet for your exact car.
