toyota emissions

Ah, Toyota and emissions – the saga of a brand trying to be green without turning your wallet into a black hole. Toyota’s vehicles generally boast low emissions, thanks largely to their pioneering hybrid tech, like the Prius. CO2 emissions vary across models, with hybrids typically clocking in around 70-90 g/km CO2, while standard petrol or diesel variants can be much higher. However, older models and certain diesel engines have been known to emit more pollutants than the company would prefer you to remember.

Common issues include:

• Diesel particulate filter clogging in diesel models.
• Hybrid battery degradation affecting emissions performance.
• Software updates sometimes needed to keep emissions controls effective.

For those hunting down a cleaner Toyota, Tradingpost and CarShowroom can be your allies, showcasing the latest low-emission models. For official figures and compliance details, always consult Toyota’s official documentation or government databases.
