The Toyota Mirai, Australia's green hydrogen hope, had its much-anticipated debut a few years back. The first generation appeared around 2018 but was extremely limited in availability, mostly in select regions. The newer Mirai, flaunting a sleeker design and improved range, started trickling into Australia around late 2021 to early 2022. Don't expect it to flood the streets anytime soon; hydrogen refuelling infrastructure Down Under is still playing catch-up.
