In NSW, a “pink slip” is the eSafety inspection needed to renew rego on most cars over five years old—yes, even your Toyota.
Any licensed inspection station can do it, and the result is sent electronically to Transport for NSW; once issued, it’s typically valid for 6 months.
It’s a basic roadworthy check—brakes, tyres, lights, steering, suspension and leaks—so tidy up the obvious issues before you roll in.
Bring your rego details, book ahead during the June rush, and remember: the pink slip says it’s safe to drive, not that it’s showroom-fresh.
