Moving from Victoria and want to transfer your licence to NSW? You’ve got three months after settling in to swap it at a Service NSW centre, where they’ll check your ID, proof of NSW address, eyesight, and that very Victorian bit of plastic.

They’ll take your Vic licence, snap a new mugshot, and issue a NSW card; no knowledge or driving test if your licence is current and unrestricted. If you’re on P1 or P2, you’ll be moved to the equivalent NSW stage with your remaining time carried over, and any demerit points tag along like unwanted luggage.
