A truck roadworthy certificate (RWC) is a safety snapshot that says your rig is fit for public roads today, not a golden ticket for life.
Inspectors check the usual suspects—tyres, brakes, steering, suspension, lights, windscreen/wipers, chassis/rust, seatbelts, and leaks—plus they pay close attention to load security points and brake balance on heavier gear.
You’ll typically need an RWC to sell a registered truck or transfer registration, and heavy vehicles may face periodic inspections depending on the state or territory.
It doesn’t certify mechanical perfection, just that it meets minimum safety standards; if it fails, fix the faults and re-test.
Bring your ID, the truck’s details, and keep mods legal (engineered if required) to avoid a grumpy inspector and a list longer than a roadhouse menu.
