tucson n line review Page 18

The Tucson N Line is the dress-up box version of Hyundai’s mid-size SUV: same engines, sharper suit. You get angrier bumpers, bigger wheels, N-branded sports seats and red stitching, but no extra power and no full-fat "N" hooliganry. The 1.6‑litre turbo with AWD and a dual-clutch gearbox is the sweet spot for pace; the base 2.0 petrol is fine for school runs, less so for hills with a trailer. Ride and cabin noise stay family-friendly, so you can look sporty without rattling the kids’ lunchboxes. Tech and safety are generous for the class, and the boot is properly useful for prams, camping gear or an optimistic Bunnings haul. If you want real performance, look elsewhere; if you want everyday Tucson sensibility with extra swagger, this is it—have a browse on Tradingpost and you’ll see plenty about.
