Canberra’s tulip festival is Floriade, and in 2023 it ran from 16 September to 15 October at Commonwealth Park beside Lake Burley Griffin. Daytime entry was free, while NightFest brought ticketed after-dark lights, music and food. Expect oceans of tulips, display gardens, market stalls and the occasional whiff of pollen-induced smugness. If you wanted even more blooms, the nearby Tulip Top Gardens ran a separate, ticketed show around the same spring window. File it under “cheerful, colourful, and likely to clog your camera roll.”
