vic road worthy certificate Page 124

The Victorian Roadworthy Certificate, often affectionately dubbed the "RWC," is your golden ticket to legally sell a vehicle or transfer registration in Victoria. It certifies that your car meets the minimum safety standards set by the government. To get one, your vehicle undergoes a thorough check of brakes, tyres, lights, steering, and more. Expect to pay around $100 to $200 AUD depending on where you go. Remember, an RWC is valid for 30 days, so don’t drag your feet. For used cars, ensure you get this sorted before listing on CarShowroom or Tradingpost to avoid any drama.
