vic speed camera Page 632

In Victoria, speed cameras come in three flavours: fixed, mobile, and those point‑to‑point jobs that time your average speed like a stern maths teacher.

They enforce the posted limit, not your speedo optimism, and any “tolerance” is not a get‑out‑of‑fine card.

Fixed camera spots are public and mobile sites are scheduled, but the exact when and where stays fuzzy—keeps everyone honest.

Get pinged and you’ll cop a fine plus demerit points, with the pain escalating the faster you push your luck.

Best move: set cruise, respect roadworks, and treat long downhills like they’re booby‑trapped—because sometimes, they are.
