"victoria $3,000 ev"

Chasing the Victoria $3,000 EV subsidy? Bad news: the state ZEV subsidy ended on 30 June 2023 and new purchases no longer qualify.

If you secured one before the cut-off and met the eligibility rules, you keep it; everyone else will have to look to other incentives.

On the plus side, the High Court knocked over Victoria’s separate per‑km EV road-user charge in 2023, so that’s off your bill for now.

You may still benefit from the federal FBT exemption on eligible novated-leased EVs (under the relevant luxury‑car threshold) and occasional dealer/manufacturer rebates.

In short: $3k Vic cash is gone, but the EV maths can still stack up—just do the sums before the test drive.
