Short version: Victoria’s ZEV Subsidy has ended.

The $3,000 rebate for new battery-electric cars (dutiable value under $68,740) closed to new applications on 30 June 2023.

If you applied before the cutoff and met the conditions, grand; everyone else gets the honour of paying full whack.

There’s still help via the federal FBT exemption on eligible EVs (novated leases), and some other states offer their own incentives.

Hunt deals anyway—drive-away pricing and run-outs can be sharper than a smug accountant’s pencil.
