volkswagen golf discontinued

No, the Volkswagen Golf isn’t discontinued in Australia.

The Mk8 hatch is still on sale here in trims like Life, R-Line, GTI and R, though manuals have largely vanished and diesel has waved goodbye.

Some markets did axe the regular Golf (in the US, only GTI and R remain), which is why the rumour mill keeps grinding.

Variants come and go with facelifts and supply shuffles, but the badge remains very much alive on Aussie roads.

So if you fancy a tidy all-rounder with a sharp chassis and DSG wizardry, the Golf’s still on the menu—no séance required.
