warning lights mazda cx 5

The Mazda CX-5’s dash is basically a mood ring with an agenda: red means stop now, amber means sort it soon, and green/white just says “all good.”

Big hitters to respect: oil pressure (red oil can), battery charge (red battery), and brake system or coolant temperature—any of these lit in red means pull over safely.

Amber celebrities include check engine, TPMS (tyre symbol), DSC/TCS skid icon, and the master warning triangle; diesels may flash a DPF light during regeneration.

Green stuff like i‑STOP or cruise indicators are informational, not apocalyptic; if they flash, pay attention.

A flashing or persistent red light is your cue to stop, call roadside assist, and consult the owner’s manual rather than your mate Dave.

If in doubt, get it scanned by a pro—guessing games are cheaper on trivia night than with engines.
