In Toyota-speak, RSCA stands for Roll‑Sensing Curtain Airbags on the LandCruiser 200 Series.
It detects a rollover and deploys the curtain airbags to protect noggins and elbows.
The RSCA OFF button disables the roll‑sensing bit for off‑road work where steep side angles are normal; the regular crash sensors still deploy airbags if you have a proper impact.
It typically re‑enables at the next restart, saving you from leaving it off by accident.
Use it only when crawling off‑road, not hooning on the highway—safety first, heroics later.
