In NSW there isn’t an RWC like in Vic or QLD; the equivalent for renewals is the eSafety check (pink slip).
If the vehicle is unregistered, imported or significantly modified, you’ll need a more thorough blue slip (AUVIS) instead, and the green slip (CTP) is separate compulsory insurance, not a roadworthy test.
Get inspected at an authorised station and the result is sent electronically to Service NSW, sparing you from paperwork that belongs in a time capsule.
In short: pink for routine rego renewals; blue for getting an unregistered car back on the road.
