what is the difference between px1 and px2 ranger Page 55

PX1 versus PX2 Ranger: same tough T6 ute underneath, but PX2 got the facelift, nicer cabin, and some new electronic party tricks.

Engines and towing are essentially unchanged, while the tech and refinement stepped up in PX2.

Here’s the no‑nonsense breakdown:

PX1 pros

• Usually cheaper to buy used
• Simpler infotainment and fewer driver aids to go wrong
• Workmanlike feel that’s easy to live with

PX1 cons

• Older dash and smaller screen; dated SYNC, no Apple CarPlay/Android Auto
• Fewer available safety features and driver assists
• Ride and cabin noise not as polished

PX2 pros

• Updated styling and tidier interior with a larger, more modern touchscreen
• Improved infotainment (SYNC 2/3, with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto on later PX2 builds)
• More available driver aids such as lane‑keeping and parking sensors

PX2 cons

• Higher purchase price
• More electronics and options can mean higher repair costs down the line

As always, check trim and build date—features varied by model year and spec.
