what's a guv car Page 1116

Ah, the classic "guv car"—a term dripping with disdain and a dash of envy. In Aussie slang, a "guv car" refers to an older, often government-owned vehicle passed down to the public service or fleet users. These cars are typically well-maintained but not exactly salon-fresh, usually sedans or utes that have seen more paperwork than potholes.

They’re the automotive equivalent of a beige office cubicle: reliable, utterly unexciting, and prone to the odd mysterious rattle. If you're scouting for one, check out Tradingpost or CarShowroom for listings that might make you question your life choices.
