BYD cars are primarily made in China, with major factories in places like Shenzhen, Xi’an, and Changsha churning out EVs and their batteries like a well-drilled sushi train.
They’re also expanding offshore, with newer plants assembling cars in Thailand for the region and additional sites ramping up internationally.
If your Atto 3, Dolphin, or Seal says “Made in China,” that’s perfectly normal; future batches for Australia may also come from Thailand depending on supply.
Either way, you’re getting kit from a vertically integrated EV giant that builds its own batteries—handy when everyone else is queuing for cells.
