Open the bonnet and find the translucent expansion tank marked “engine coolant” with min/max lines—that’s where your Commodore drinks.
Only top up when the engine is stone cold; crack the cap hot and you’ll cop a steam facial you didn’t order.
Use the correct long-life coolant (or a 50/50 premix), fill to the COLD/LOW mark, and don’t overfill.
On many Commodores the pressurised cap sits on the reservoir; on older ones with a separate radiator cap, fill the radiator first, then set the bottle to the mark.
Start the car, heater on hot for a minute to burp any air, then recheck the level and hoses for leaks.
When in doubt, consult the owner’s manual for the exact coolant spec and procedure.
