where to sell a bus Page 111

In Australia, the simplest places to sell a bus are online marketplaces like Tradingpost, Gumtree and Facebook Marketplace, plus commercial auction houses such as Pickles and Grays.

Dealers who buy coaches and minibuses will spare you tyre-kickers, but expect a leaner price; consignment can split the difference if you’ve got time.

List the essentials: seating capacity, GVM, engine/transmission, wheelchair or luggage fit-out, service history, and any current roadworthy/COI.

Good photos and honest notes about rust, leaks and tyres will save you a blizzard of “still available?” messages at 10pm.

Check recent sales to set a sane price and run a PPSR check before you hand over keys.

Don’t forget the paperwork: transfer forms, roadworthy/COI where required, and a proper tax invoice if it’s a business sale.
