LDV is a brand owned by SAIC Motor Corporation Limited, a giant state-owned Chinese automotive company. Originally a British marque, LDV was acquired by SAIC in 2010 after some financial drama and corporate musical chairs. These days, they’re pumping out commercial vans and light trucks that blend British heritage with Chinese manufacturing muscle. If you’re eyeballing LDV on Tradingpost or CarShowroom, remember you’re basically checking out a Chinese-backed Aussie-friendly commercial ride.
