who makes the new ford ranger v6 engine Page 3

Short answer: Ford makes it. The new Ranger’s 3.0‑litre V6 turbo‑diesel is a Ford-designed unit from the Lion/Power Stroke lineage, built by Ford specifically for the Ranger program. The Ranger Raptor’s 3.0‑litre twin‑turbo petrol V6 is also a Ford EcoBoost job, not something borrowed from VW, your neighbour, or a lawn mower. Outputs vary by tune, but in Australia you’re looking at punchy numbers and a perfectly on-brand grumble. In short, the V6s are Ford through and through.
