Chasing the Written-Off Vehicle Register in SA? Here’s the blunt truth: the WOVR is national, and the quick way to check any SA car is a PPSR report using its VIN.

For a few dollars you’ll see if it’s recorded as a statutory write-off (never going back on the road) or a repairable write-off (may return after inspections), plus stolen and finance flags.

Do the check before money changes hands, keep the PPSR search certificate, and sleep like a koala after a eucalyptus buffet.

No VIN, no sale—because a shiny respray won’t hide a past that’s already on the register.
