best gps navigation for car Page 18

Looking for the best GPS navigation for your car? Well, it depends if you prefer dedicated gadgets or just your smartphone waving a finger at you. Dedicated units like Garmin and TomTom boast precise maps, offline functionality, and real-time traffic updates, perfect for those who hate relying on spotty mobile data. Smartphones, on the other hand, offer apps like Google Maps or Waze, which are free and constantly updated, but they can suck your battery and data faster than a thirsty kangaroo in the outback.

Prices for dedicated GPS units typically range from about AUD 150 to 500, while smartphone apps are mostly free, with optional premium subscriptions. For used options, check Tradingpost or CarShowroom to snag a bargain. Ultimately, it’s a choice between dedicated reliability and smartphone convenience—choose your poison wisely.
