Cayin CS-805A SET Integrated Valve Amplifier

The latest high end Integrated Amplifier to leave the Cayin design studio has been over 24 months in development.

We wanted to bring to market a full fifty watts per channel design, with single ended configuration, pure Class A output in a single chassis Integrated Stereo Amplifier with 805A output power tubes.

After months of testing, we hand selected 6SN7's for the voltage amplification stage, matched 300B's for the driver stage, and specifically rated 805A output tubes.

The CS-805A offers three pairs of Line Inputs, along with one pair of Pre-Inputs and are located on the rear panel of the amplifier with a fully decoupled design.

The very high quality Pre-Input Circuit offers you the possibility to connect and external Pre-amplifier of choice, using  the CS-805A purely as a power amplifier - this gives you added versatility as you develop your system.

Speaker terminals are provided for both 4 and 8 ohm speaker variants,  giving perfect synergy with the loudspeakers of choice.

Headphone aficionados will also delight in this design, and take advantage of the incredibly high quality and fully customised output transformer - the CS-805A provides a Headphone Output driven directly from this circuit , and will drive even the most demanding of reference headphones on the market.

Incredibly simple and easy user bias controls for the 805A have been implemented for bias adjustment with a beautifully crafted meter added to the top plate to allow you to monitor and adjust bias with consummate ease.

The further addition of a hum balance adjustment for the 300B tubes is a real boon, and is accessible on the top plate for easy adjustment of the hum level of these critical tubes - this allows you to dial in the full untapped potential, by reducing any background interference to nil.

Negative Feedback Selection is also available on the remote, allowing you can choose between two levels of NFB to enjoy the different sound outputs that the CS-805A has to offer. Under the 0dB selection, it has an incredibly open sound with more subtle details while as for -3dB,  CS-805A outputs a softer, clean sound with a more textured feel and flavour.

Quality simply oozes from every angle, with a heavy anodised aluminium front, fully vented chassis with an quite exquisite finish, hand-made construction with the finest point-to-point wiring using heavy gauge OFHC copper.

A comprehensive soft-start circuit and high voltage delay circuits are engineered into the design to protect the amplifier and extend the life of the sensitive components, making Cayin valve designs incredibly reliable and robust.

High voltage fuses are used in the amplifier for protection. In the case of a tube failure, the fuse will react first , safeguarding the whole circuit - life with a Cayin CS-805A couldn't be more safe and secure.

Comes standard with a custom made all-aluminium remote control, the CS-805A can also memorise the last operation settings of the unit once switched off - convenience built in !
