ford territory reverse camera not working Page 3

When a Ford Territory’s reverse camera goes on strike, it’s not being arty—it’s usually power, wiring, or the camera spitting the dummy.

• Check the reverse lights and fuses first; if the lights don’t come on, the fuse or reverse switch is the joy-killer.
• Inspect the tailgate loom where it passes through the rubber boot—broken wires here are as common as bad servo coffee.
• Look for water ingress or corrosion at the camera plug; many factory cameras simply give up and need replacing.
• Confirm the head unit/ICC is getting a proper reverse signal and video feed; a battery reset or software refresh can wake it up.

If you’re fitting an aftermarket unit, match the camera’s voltage and connectors or you’ll get the dreaded black screen.

Still no joy? An auto sparky can test the loom and camera quickly, and a replacement is easy to source via Tradingpost without selling a kidney.
