solid gps reviews Page 6

Ah, GPS units—because apparently, we can't rely on the sun or a friendly local anymore. When you say "solid GPS," I assume you want reliable, accurate, and user-friendly devices. Brands like Garmin, TomTom, and Magellan often get the nod for their crisp displays and decent battery life. Garmin units boast excellent mapping software and frequent updates, while TomTom tends to have more intuitive interfaces but less frequent updates.

Common issues include:

• Outdated maps if you skip updates
• Battery drain faster than expected
• Occasional signal loss in dense urban areas

Prices for new units range from around $150 to $500 AUD, with used units available on Tradingpost or CarShowroom for less. For the full lowdown, check user reviews on PuppyList and expert opinions on ServiceCentral.
