wa learner permit Page 40

Chasing a WA learner’s permit? You’ll need to be at least 16, pass a road rules knowledge test and an eyesight check, provide ID, and pay the fee.

Once you’ve got it, display bright yellow L plates, drive with a fully licensed supervisor, stick to a zero BAC, and carry the permit.

Book your tests through the WA Department of Transport, keep practising within the rules, and don’t treat roundabouts like a game of musical chairs.

After building experience, you’ll tackle a hazard perception test and a practical driving assessment to move to provisional status—steady as she goes.
